Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals facing unexpected pregnancies by providing compassionate holistic care that addresses medical emotional, and spiritual needs, fostering abundant life through education, resources, and hope.

Vision

Our vision is a community where every life is valued, and individuals are equipped with hope, help, and resources when facing unexpected decisions.

Purpose

Bridge Wellness South, embodied in its board, staff, volunteers, and patient advocates is committed to presenting the gospel of our Jesus Christ both in word and deed to those we serve. Welcoming and serving all in a non-judgmental environment.

History of the Bridge Wellness South

The original center was incorporated in 1993 by the founder, Becky Smith and the founding board of directors.  With a vision to offer practical help and support to women facing a pregnancy decision, the first center was opened on Jodeco Road in October 1993 and remained in the first location until 2001.

In 2001, the Board of Directors purchased and remodeled a historic house on Jodeo Road in the Flippin district of McDonough.  This new building opened in September 2001 and allowed space to grow and add medical services under the newly appointed Medical Director and Nurse Manager.  Education services were also expanded and the boutique received a dedicated space to house donations.  The center was at this location until 2018.

In 2018, the Board of Directors purchased a new facility near Piedmont Henry Hospital.  The new building allows more space for appointments, resources, and future growth.  With a growing staff and volunteer force, we strive to empower each individual so that no one makes uninformed choices about pregnancy or sexual health because of a lack of access to services, information, or support.
