The Bridge Wellness South Achieves AAAHC Accreditation

Stockbridge, GA – January 11, 2024 – The Bridge Wellness South has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes this Pregnancy Medical Clinic from many other outpatient facilities through its adherence to rigorous standards of care and safety.

Status as an accredited organization means The Bridge Wellness South has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. More than 6,600 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are currently accredited by AAAHC and 1095 Strong.

The Bridge Wellness South is a non-profit volunteer medical clinic in Stockbridge, GA meeting the needs of the pregnant population of Henry County through no-cost pregnancy determination services and family education support.  We believe that no one should have to make decisions about their pregnancy without adequate information, help, and support.  Our medical team is comprised of staff and volunteer members who offer compassionate care to each patient.  Support staff at the Bridge Wellness South integrate evidence-based education and peer mentorship to meet the needs of growing families. Health care organizations, like the Bridge Wellness South, seeking AAAHC Accreditation undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors – physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory care. The survey is peer-based and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.

While the onsite survey is a key component of the process, ongoing compliance and continuous improvement are part of the accreditation maintenance mindset that The Bridge Wellness South integrates into its daily activities. The intent of accreditation is to fuel ongoing Quality Improvement and self-evaluation every day at The Bridge Wellness South and to ensure the best possible environment and experience for our patients and clients.
